Performance and application
FASD-307Si is a GMAW wire for solid Cr-Ni-Mo series stainless steel for welding austenitic stainless with 18%Cr--8%Ni-7%Mn composition and some high manganese steel. The high silicon content of wire improves the wettability of welding pool, in particular, the corrosion resistance of this wire is of secondary importance when welding high manganese dissimilar materials. The alloy is widely used in the welding of austenitic steel, manganese steel, hard steel, protective plate and heat resistance steel.
